The customer started having many repair issues with the operation of the existing 10-year-old high efficiency boiler due to the chemicals in the pool mechanical room and the electrical connections on the boiler.
The average expectancy of operation for a boiler is 20 years. With noted deterioration of the unit due to chemical damage from the environment it was installed, we advised the replacement of the unit. After reviewing options and pricing with the customer we selected a standard efficiency boiler that was correctly sized for heating the pool.
The standard efficiency boiler has much simpler electronics which should last longer than the failed high efficiency boiler in this environment.
